Maybe able to get someone to push down on the bonnet whilst you pull the lever.
If cable is busted you'll need arms of a anorexic child to reach the release.. May need to remove the grille

Definitely isn't for releasing even with me pulling the lever back as far as I can, and someone pushing down or pulling up the bonnet. There is now a clear 'clicking' sound as well, but no release. I now think think that it is broken.

I'll see what Readview say mate, cos it was supposed to be going in for the other work anyway. I tried looking from underneath, put screwdrivers through the grille mesh and moved the plastic lever, but no joy. It may be still like this when I come up 11-2-12, so it might be down to you and me anyway.Quote:
