LOVELY! Whens it for sale :D
The owner must of been gutted when you told him! Presumably the electrical problems were to do with the flooding? Luckily I don't have electric seats as they certainly would of been damaged but I did make sure the plugs were all cleaned out and sprayed with wd40 before I put it back together.
yep! especially the engine ecu which sits on the floor under the centre console in that model ........
Looks stunning Simon, but then you know that as I've said it before ;)
302's now fitted, brand new callipers, discs and pads and full fluid flush. New OE HT leads fitted seeing a slight and expected improvement in MPG. Carpet cleaned the interior mats that were kindly given to me by Merc85. Just been through an MOT with no problems, although a couple of days later i discovered a leaking rear shock. With the car going to Germany and Swiss next week the it will be used with some new standard shocks i have spare and will then get on the phone to KW to arrange repair of both rears.
Don't have any pictures of the new brakes fitted but we all know what they look like.

That's a very interesting shock failure. I'm sure KW will come to the party with replacements though. As frustrating as it is, these things happen from time to time.
Obviously you do quite some milage in this motor what are the kw like for day to day
Yeah I thought it was unusual as well, always check the outside but started notice it was a bit soft on the rear so went to tighten them up and found the problem.
I think it's pretty comfy but I do have them set on full soft (1/4 turn), even like that its still handles well.
I don't use the car everyday, it's Gemma's car as such she does a few miles a week in it driving to the other side of town.
Not an exciting update but something to stop the thread falling into the vast abyss of the internet.

Volvo strut brace, had to cut the part of that black bracket off which went across the strut holding the large plug which can now be seen near the coil. Not sure if its the right way but works for me. Will tidy up the cut edge further and re-paint in due course.

Found these hiding in my van so was able to rivet the arch linings and bumpers together properly.

New BCS (V70 one) made up a little mounting bracket, these clip on so cut a slot out etc, turned out to be very secure but added a cable tie for "belts and braces".

Any news on the map Simon ?
That's a cracking looking 855.
I'd be tempted with a pfv egg crate & putting your volvo slash on it.
Very nice.
Looking good as always Simon, if you want to know what an egg crate looks like you can always try mine in there to see how it would look ;)
Great pic's buddy :)
Lovely looking 850 that. I had a burgundy Citroen BX many years ago and always hated the colour, but yours looks outstanding, great job! That flood must have been a heartache, but I'm glad you kept the car. Nice pics too
