On my s60 I haven't had it long so I'm learning about it, some of you longer term owners might know, is there a way to reset or delete messages, without having to use dice and vida. I'm going to be getting a dice soon but in the meantime.

What messages are you talking about ?
Rear parking light out etc and any other messages that might pop up Harvey in the future surely these cars can do tricks it's just knowing them. And I had my first casualty tonight down the back lanes from paignton to newton abbot my wing mirror glass has broken replacement on its way. Should have taken the dual carriageway instead ffing branches
only way of getting rid of a bulb failure warning is to change the bulb mate ;)
What other messages have you got?
Yes true but I like the country roads Harvey :) more fun to drive on. Plus I wanted to check out my osram night breakers mate
Nightbreakers are good but don't last long I found.
As far as I'm ware, you can check the DTC messages, but can't erase without Vida.

Alternatively, you may disconnect the battery & touch the positive and negative as follows:
Once the ignition key is out, your can start disconnecting the battery cables.
Disconnect the negative first and then the positive, now, as some modules are still powered for few mins once you take out the key (& lock the car)! you'll need to wait 3-5 mins before the next step: touch the cablesfor 10 sec, then bolt the cables back (positive first, then negative).
Alternatively, just disconnect the battery cables and leave it for min 30 mins disconnected.
Again, if you do want to touch the cables together, make sure you wait 3-5 mins once the cables are disconnected to ensure none of the modules are still powered.
Just to add to the above...
When reconnecting the battery on a p2, ALWAYS have the ignition in position 2.
There has been a few instances where all the airbags have deployed when reconnecting the battery. Position 2 prevents this happening.
Thanks for the tips guys, and mrp I went for the night breakers as a trial people like them if they don't last I will be going hid or led route. :)
I just changed from night breakers to philips white vision on high beam.
Any good Harvey I'm impressed by the night breakers a good flood of light tbh.
The night breakers on left, white vision right.
