How cool is that! Excellent news
so after investigation
the fan works
the relay works
the sensor works
all cabling is good
and if you unplug the sensor the fan will run in a failsafe mode
but if i warm the car up, it still wont run the fan??
So, the fuel pump stopped working a little while back
now the Fan
I think my ECU is slowly dying :rolling_e

was thinking of going 4.4, but that's all part of next years plan :B_thumb:

The ostrich will fit into the 4.4 no problem.
Ditch that 4.3 and TT and run the modified 608 map from Volvospeed then you can datalog superfast
Need to do something to bring it a bit more up to date
good news, fan has decided to start working again
bad news, it appears the overheating has cooked the valve seals, so its developed a really bad smoking habit.
no racing for me:wallbash:
Sorry to hear the racing is off, but Happy Birthday mate, hope you have a great day:partysmil
Suspected head gadget failure, probably due to the extreme heat at the track
and lack of air through the new bumper
I’ll keep trying, not going to give up
Oh no, after all that too :(
J.T. are you still running a stand rad or have you upgraded the rad, if not it may be time to.......also is the water pump ok and circulating effectively... just a couple of my thoughts as the grill aperture is quite a size on an 850 and would have though it would allow sufficient cooling even out on track at your power level.
The standard rad gave up very early on, like 10 years ago
water pump was ok when fitted, doesn't mean its still ok
I run an alloy rad now.
Attachment 33202
Thanks
I've seen the aftermarket ones do that, but not an OEM part.
When I get around to stripping it down, I'll check it :)
