very nice wobbly can't wait to see it in person
VERY nice.
its gonna be a long 1000 miles lol
500 as I am not bedding in the piston rings - just the shells. That's 2 tank fulls. I feel a Southern Softies meet coming on.
Normally I get about 350 - 400. PB was 460. So more like 1.5 tanks.
Your car sounds nice Dave weldone
Well done dave. The exhaust looks very understated..........doesn't sound understated though lol
TBH I wasnt sure which tip to have. I think understated works.
I found my newer V5 today, whilst hunting for MOT (found) and Insurance (not found) so I was able to apply for my Tax disc online!
I might run her around the block!
How much running in need on the 2nd build?
superb news Dave, so pleased you 're getting there.
Well a bit more news. I finally got TORQUE onto my Samsung GN3 and was able to read the codes. I cleared them & they came back immediately.
MAF sensor low circuit
Injector #5 low circuit
Now we'd put in the MAF which I believed was faulty. Car reverts to a default if the MAF is disconnected (or busted).
I found that the plug on injector #5 & then later #2 was not quite on properly. I swapped back the MAF from yesterday & initially it was lumpy but calmed down. Most importantly I have no codes & no EM light.
Got issues with my first test drive - brakes were not particularly good and I can't hillstart up anything with a gradient.
I think I am going to run her gently the 50 miles to HLM and leave it there for more tests/fettling
Well the run over to HLM was actually really good - all the fears about hill start/lack of power disappeared as Betsy found her feet again. Idles well & just seems really well. Hamish will double check it all. Only slight niggle was a vibration/rattle coming through at tickover & it may be a slight adjustment needed with the dp/ or new exhaust.
