Unlike your V70R buyer it would take something huge for me to part with her (let alone the Mrs's part with her, as she seems to have taken to Gully big time). The pleasure she gives just taking her out for a run and seeing the looks on people's faces when the yellow car passes is brilliant.
That makes me very happy for you Adrian!! No more cars coming here unless I want a divorce...............
did you run with it plugged in before the re-build or never bothered with it all ??
[QUOTE=Dangerous Dave;778005]Adrian, suppose you could remove the working evap valve and test its resistance and add in a suitably valued resistor to stop the check engine light.
now that was what I was thinking of doing, but was't sure how the ecu would handle it, it can only be the evap valve as the only other faults are the fan half speed and the air-con pressure signal missing and it's done a couple of good runs over the last few days and no mil light ...:)
Well came by this little gem on ebay recently and have now installed it into the Gul, so nice to have control over the electric aeriel whilst running non-radio sounds

could have been the same one as I forgot about when the auction end came, this one came from good ole california usa to complete the Gul's dash board, I made up a nice little wiring harness for it from bits I robbed from the v70's harness to try and keep thing as near to O.E. as possible
Readview Volvo asked me if I still had Gul today, and I could almost hear the disappointment when I said that I didn't.......
Just found this little gem on Slam Media from Retro Rides 2014, running back down Shelsley Walsh hillclimb

I am not sure what number my ownership was im afraid, i bought her from the "manthatcan" via this forum around 2011...i then sold it to merc85 around the end of december that same year as i lost my garage due to land being sold for development..couldnt get another garage in a suitable location...........you probably have receipts for what i had done to it by Braydon Motors, ........if i think of anything else i will let you know...if you ever decide to sell.........................
thanks for the info, I've added it to the list with the dates which are really useful in who had it and when, as for if I ever decide to sell her.......I'd have to get that passed the Mrs's, so can't see that happening, she loves it and is currently pestering for a bumper re-paint and getting all the plastics back to factory standard.
The 850 loom is not and never was equipped for this item, so I took similar colour wires from and old harness and added to Guls to break the Aeriel supply and jumped the illumination supply from the neighbouring switch and fitted the pins into the existing connector in the car and to the connector that came with the switch after pulling out the old ones and double checking the pin out on the switch
