Well went to fire up the old V70R today and to my surprise she wasn't playing ball, battery was dead and the booster battery I'd taken over to her didn't have enough poke in it to get her going. I pinched the battery out of the green bitch and had another go, she reluctantly fired up and ran roughly and promptly died, Jayne suggested could it be low on fuel, I said we'll chuck some in as may not be that low but would freshen up the older fuel that may be a bit stale by now. She fired her up and after some initial stutters she ran smoothly for a short while before starting to die again. Problem now isolated as there was a hissing noise from the rear, the rear fuel pipe have corroded through and the petrol was just getting pumped out onto the ground, so the rear end as well as the front end is all going to have to come out now, probably karma for leaving her parked up of more than 2 years........doh! :(
