we have a video, it doesn't end like it should tho lol. After a few minutes cranking i realised i hadn't heard the fuel pump pressurise. Bit of investigation & 4 wires coming from the tank were cut in the engine bay, looks like it had been wired thru the ABS so got to sort that out. Other than that everything seemed to work, didn't check the spark so we'll see once the fuel pumps rewired

Bet you was all excited as well.... reckon BT sounds as tho as she is laughing at you...LOL ..Glad you know the problem tho... hopefully an easy sort out.... looking good mate..
Its about time pedro lol
could nt hear that in the video.....i know you know your stuff but where the fuel not coming up, is it not a pop of sorts....used to get this on my Merc 300ce on start up from cold ...take a while for the fuel to come up but as its cranking you would hear a sort of thump/pop for a bit until the fuel was pumping properly.....prob not explained clearly but until fuel pressure was there, it would try and start on the fumes causing it to pop but did sound a bit thumpy....after that explanation think i need more meds LOL ..least i know what i mean LOL
i get what you mean but not convinced, seems to much of a pattern to it & if that was the case i'm sure the engine would of sucked its own fuel thru if there was a way thru without the pump working. It does sound like a pop/thump of sorts so don't think its a bearing gone or anything. Get the pump running first then see what's up lol
I would be inclined to turn it over without the plugs in for a couple of minutes to get a nice bit of oil pressure through the system.
Glad you knew what i meant, i got lost half way thru it....LOL
yeh i cranked it over for a while with the HT lead off
bit of an update, found out the green wires are nothing to do with the pump i guess its the fuel gauge. Went out with the test probe & couldn't get a reading off the pump wires, chaced the earth & nothing so cleaned the paint off & got a connection then. Turned the ignition on & still nothing so sent a positive thru & the pump it san up, tried to fire it but no different but the pump pressurised afterwards so its all working now, but the batteries flat again lol
& just realised when i'd got the pump working i hadn't took the bung out the air intake, no wonder it wouldn't fire lol
its finally turned up, cost about £190 in the end with import tax but did get 2 stickers with it lol

At that price you should get at least another 20bhp per sticker lol
thats the 6a fitted, got the wiring to do & make up the special HT leads then to see what differenc it makes
