Now back on the road, let the fun begin
go and do some testing at santa pod
It still needs to be mapped yet, I'm waiting for a wiring diagram for the ecu.
The hope is to start off at 300bhp, then when I make my 3" exhaust, we'll re-map it again, then over a period of time keep upping the boost, eventually hoping for 400bhp with the new bottom end. but that will be a long time off, I'm very pleased with the top mount, the intake air temps are beter than they ever were with the standard interboiler.
I now have a strut brace again (don't laugh)

Looks rather fun and sounds amazing!! Congratulations! =)

looks and sounds brill are you going to bring it to york
Im still impressed mate, would be really nice to hear it on full chat once it's been mapped, can understand why your holding back :)
We're all going to be looking for superchargers now... :mischievo
Sounds brilliant :D
And bloody quick, the Vauxhall Agila or whatever it was looked like it was stood still as you overtaken it.
Do you still have the vac pump connected to the dash turbo guage and whats the dial doing ?
that looks erm.... rapid!!
I think you may have just edged over the national limit by a mile per hour or two in parts of that video :D
Looking forward to seeing it run at York :)
Shame, as I saw you go up one of my favourite bits of road, the Leaton to Fitz road, those bends are great, if you can string them together

Lots of people who will see the car will probably take the piss out of it. BUT we all know the reason its there. Thumbs up!!
Ever since I've had the car I've been annoyed that both near side doors had dents in them below the bump strip, and the near side wing had rust bubbling through, so today I swapped them all for a set the same colour, Every job I do on this car amazes me at how well thought out the design of the car is, the only hiccup I had was swapping the front door handle (I know the trick now).
In a sick sort of way i really like that Colin nice one, how's it driving now? got the wiring done for the ecu and mapping?.
Cheers
i prefer the first bonnet bulge tbh
have you thought about the mitsibushi L200 bonnet bulge, its a flat bolt on one,
i got one for mine but havnt used it yet, lol,
this is it just layin on the bonnet but you get the idea :)
I wish i could do bodywork like Tomcat, but I just muddle on,
I'v started to make the front extensions for the scoop/bulge

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...3-27120000.jpg
And cut out the front intake.

http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...3-27150633.jpg
also fitted a rubber seal around the IC
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...3-27150559.jpg
and fiberglassed a duct for the air to go straight onto the IC, and hot air to escape the engine bay.

A bit more work and it will be ready for some high build primer and top coat.
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...3-31162827.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...3-31162833.jpg
A bit of filler primer
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...4-01150411.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...4-01150433.jpg
Then a lot of flatting, before some gloss
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...4-02130840.jpg
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...4-02130816.jpg
And that's it, (well actually it needs flatting down again in a couple of weeks)

Quality, still loving this car.
It's on the rollers next sunday (17th) but it still hasn't been mapped yet, so it's still running rich, I'v been using it with the charger dissconected for the past few weeks, but now that I'v got another runabout, reconnected the SC again, also fitted my catch tank today.

Any body got some thoughts on using TurboTuner to map the car.
This is what she ran like unmapped,.....lol
