Firstly i would like to say that this sounds like a lovely car. Secondly, from the way you've worded your mods list it sounds like your not sure of some of your mods or their advantages. The reason you can't boost any higher than 12 psi is because your using a MBC. These do not connect in anyway to the vehicles electrics and therefore have no influence over any other the boost controls etc. So i expect your getting a DTC (diagnostic trouble code) light come on and the ECU then causes the car to hesitate and almost feel like it cuts out. This is normal and means you've reached the limits that your ECU will allow you to boost without causing damage. If you want to overcome this and gain big performance SAFELY then you have to ditch the MBC and have your car remapped.
Thirdly...you shoulda fitted the exhaust before the MBC to notice a difference. You will get better throttle response, slightly more power and noticeably better sounding car.
The next step for you should almost certainly be...Strut brace (makes a massive difference on FWD cars at reducing torque steer) and then exhaust.
Hope that helps
lol & that was the old list, & tbh even the newer list i've supplied is now out of date as its now no longer my daily drive & gone a bit silly with the weight saving. I've also got some very funky custom electrics going on, got a newer version of my launch control which is done automatically instead of holding the button on the steering wheel, really looking forward to trying this as i scared the sh*t out of an Audi A3 driver as i sat at the line popping & farting & throwing flames out the exhaust lol
the list is as follows 1997 940 lpt2.3 but it is abit different now though.
rebuilt b230fk bottom end with new pistons shells with max overbore
stage 3 head with larger exhaust valves
kent version of enim v16 cam and vernier pully
940 td heavy duty 3.1 clutch

40mm lower suspenion
3in custom stainless exhaust
t5 blue397 injectors and fpr
polly bushed all suspenion bushes
catch tank for breathing
turbo technics t35 hybrid turbo with -31 actuator
wideband afr
psi boost gauge
galaxy 16s refurbed wheels

custom intercooler by radtech my design
custom radiator by radtech my design
custom piping by radtech my design

with all this still only 135 bhp and very slow
ps joking with 135 bhp more like 145 bhp but have not tuned it yet.
but whoever will be at the york meet will see me hit 50 mph on the drag strip on a quater mile

on my boost gauge witch is in psi it says that my peek boost pressure is just about 18 psi, hammish said that it is 1 bar but to be honest i can only say what the guage is saying...
i thought that 237 bhp at the wheels is pritty good as my car is not a T5.......
