2004 S60 D5 Ignition Barrel Question

After having my arse spanked with a big bill last week, got in the car this afternoon, put the key in the ignition and it wouldn't go past ''I''. Locked solid. Tried everything, steering lock on/off all that. Got RAC out, he couldn't shift it either, also couldn't figure out how the barrel came to bits. Managed to get it going (my new key is a screwdriver) so I'm not off the road. My question is, where's the best place to get another barrel, what should I expect to pay and are there other issues to bear in mind?

Just rang dealer, supply and fit, £315 + VAT :0 :0

Spoke to an independent Volvo specialist this morning, he can supply and fit too and a good bit cheaper than a main dealer?
