Hahahaha thanks mate, appreciate that.....how does she run now then ?
Looking at Neals photo it's not a easy fix .
nice work! lol
is it not finished ??:hidesbehi
Not quite had a few issues with the new alternator and fitting the bloody aux belt. It's mostly done just got to fill the rad with Evans coolant and find out where that grey wire goes near starter!!!
He's not sold it yet... I thought I'd wait for him to make his mind up. ;)
now you have that huge air con rad getting in the way of the intercooler :uglyhamme
Oh dear, I better book a day off work!
hes only asking £300 for them and having seen them in person i know which one id buy. you get what you pay for. its a well built unit with very high build quality. i havnt seen the do88 ones in person but i very much doubt they are of the same quality. the welding on blackbeast ic is 2nd to none and been built by company who designs and build intercoolers. i know wear id spend my money
The one from Blackbeast/Radtec has a 50 mm core and 63 mm inlet and outlet connections, no idea how this compares to the one in the photo or if they are worth the +140 quid. The do88 ones are supposedly made in China, which doesn't automatically make them rubbish. I've never seen a do88 in the flesh, I've got one of the Radtec ones, looks good to me although my welding is crap anyway so what would I know :)
55 mm instead of 63 I guess then. The throttle body is about 63 mm on mine but on the other side the 16T compressor outlet is only about 50 mm so I would be surprised if it makes much odds, at least at the pressures we are are looking at. I notice on the do88 website the comparison for pressure drop is for 1.9 barg boost and they are showing a decent improvement (reduction in pressure drop I mean) over the the standard unit, even apart from better quality & cooling.
