buy a new car ! certainly seems like you have a very long list of problems with this car lol.
Use the search bar at the top of the page mate as you will find most of the problems have been covered on the forum many times, should find all the answers you need.
thanks m8 really needed that ...
Chill mate, only having a laugh with you. Abs module failure is another common fault on the volvos due to dry solder joints but its not my specialist area, you will find the answers in the search bar though.
Only had it a day lol, knew it had probs when i purchased it, it can only get better, got loads of stuff that needs replacing, i will get there in the end, :)

Been repairing them for years now
I have only had one 850 that did NOT do this at some point. Easy fix - and once it is done it should be fine.
how do you do it ...any pics where it is ?
this happens to all t5's, abs modules are going for 60 odd quid on ebay
yeah i did the same thats why i asked on here, i searched for stage o and stage 0 but nothing came back
they changed the ABS system between 95 & 96, the later system is the poorer one with the problems (shame mines a 94 lol)
ABS SYSTEM FIXED, it wasn't the unit, i thought i would check the ABS RING on the front wheels and they were chokka with mud n ££££ so i cleaned them all out , been perfect ever sine, touch wood thats sorted it ........
I have a similar problem even after resoldering the ABS ECU some times the light goes out then as I press the brakes I feel a buzz the light returns and stays on guess I'm going to have to fork out for a new ECU unless someone has a replacement one I can buy
How did you clean the rings out and exactly what am I looking for ? I will try that on mine tomorrow or over the week
Same here! although one of mine is getting replaced as some of the teeth have corroded too much.
I had a cracked ring - very painful - errm I mean - I had to get the outer end of the CV joint replaced.
Lol... so much scope for puns here!
