You know you miss your old t5, so go on mate dont let the oil burners and people carriers drag you down!
Get an old one for when you feel the need for some 5 pot action!

I do miss the car. The 5 pot was nice, the 50+ mph acceleration was useful, but the downsides out weigh it for me still. It was expensive to insure / service / fuel / tyres / bushes etc. It struggled on the handling front, the brakes were pretty shoddy, the traction issues were stupid at times - and its lisence loosing ability added to the list of down sides.
As has been said so many times before - the power / noise etc etc was wasted on me most of the time as i was in rolling traffic. In addition the roads i travel on the Skoda is a lot quicker point to point than the Volvo and has better over taking ability.
As for the people carrier, i bought that for my kids sake, and not my own. They love it (as per yesterdays thread)
So yes i do miss the Volvo - but for now the Fabia does the trick...........
In 3/5 years i may consider an S60R manual though ;)

Obviously in some situations the Volvo's arent ideal cars, however get yourself a used 850 T5 as a weekend liscence looser!

I think both of you need to

Atleast you get to look at Volvos all day

It makes not having one quite bad, especially that bl**dy used S60 R thats on the forecourt looking at me all day long!
