Thanks for the offer but think I will run with vxrs
Thanks guys, i will go and test this now (off ooout). Unsure if its twin or single as i cant find anything definitive, found a picture of the same BOV:
27712
Unfortunately cant see the model...
On a foot note, I can't get my head around why anyone would want to run regular unleaded fuel. The only reason is because it is cheaper. If someone really needs to save 3 or 4 quid on the price of...
It will be like this one E39 540 maf sensor
I think its only 3.5" though.
I'll have a look on wednesday for it as i'm out all day tomorrow and there's no lights in my garage at the minute.
If all thats needed is the housing and the 850 sensor will fit, then i may have one somewhere as i got a new maf just before i crashed my 540. Sure i kept it (no idea why i kept it though???)
...
I bought one and modified it to include a maf screen
Keep a eye out on ebay for a BMW 540i MAF
All you need is the housing, just use the 850 sensor. It max flow is 1603 cfm compared to the 850 which flows 826 cfm
That`s what I`m running :)
Keep at it mate, we want big numbers all round.
Top man. After all the trouble u`ve had with it I wish yr efforts put a smile on yr face and and yr name high up on the 1/4mile board.:B_thumb:
Think they were the Siemens Deka 630cc. Although they can run a LOT higher if you up the fuel pressure.
Class comment Lee, love it.
you will defo need bigger injectors though mate especially at 30 psi
oh that should move wth them:rice:

To answer you original question....checked mine when I did the PCV (I had the timing covers off to clean them) and mine was as tight as a Nuns chaff!! and I don't have any running issues. :)
Yr car uses a hydraulic tentioner so shouldn`t be too tight mate.I`ve done a few with no issues. From what u saying it sounds good to me,it`ll set up right when u run it cos as I said its a hydraulic...
Id say you dont want it extremely tight as i would imagine that would put a bit of stress on the pulleys and such but dunno if this same rule applies for cam belts. on our diesel engines at work the...
I used them for fitting my clutch after the first one broke (they didn't fit the first one, someone else did). They also repaired my 16T, I've not had any issues with their work.
You don't want a lot of slack, as it'll jump teeth, as I see it, the 2 cams rotate at the same speed, so the tension will remain static, also once the belt's been through a heat cycle a few times,...
The cam belt is tensioned by the damper so it`s pre set on the tension :)
I agree to a point mate, but you've got to have your hobbies, otherwise you'll go mad!
Volvo's are timeless and the newer stuff is junk
I'm thinking 854 Dave??
