You have it all :p
Tempted to make one of those tools. They look pretty simple
They are a ££££. Pliers are really the correct tool for what I have seen. Grab, push in, rotate 90 degrees, pulll out.
In reality its about 30 mins of swearing.
Worth noting, if you use pattern...

Theres a place I used thats next door to Camberley Auto Factors in Farnborough. Its a franchise but run by a very friendly couple. He took the large pothole dent out of mine for £60
If you are down this way I know someone who can help too
Just gonna add my own experience here.
I had a mystery leak too. It started as top-up (warning lamp) once a month and randomly progressed to a couple of times a week.
I took it to my mate who did...
I had ABS fail on my 70 and it turned out to be the sensor cable had rubbed through under the wheel arch. Worth checking.
14.5v
The general concensus is the reg is faulty. Supplier are ordering a new one.
I am just worried about what happens if that doesnt fix it!
Put a voltage meter over the battery on idle.
I had a few odd messages when my alternator died. (should be reading around 14.3v)
You have a short somewhere which was why the fuse was blowing. Now you have a larger fuse it cant pop so the heat is building up elsewhere - in the wiers that are melting.
Change the fuse back...
Whoop. I has MoT!
Kudos to young Mr Badger and his packing skills.
I think if I bought them new they would not have been as well packed.
I have just given them a spazz with the wirebrush drill and they are now...
Until you make S60 ones I am not interested but those both look really nice
Cheers Chris. I will give Badgers as shot as they are direct replacements.
Offer is greatly appreciated and I hope I wont need to come grovelling later ;)
The one I had in the V70 was mounted without the bar. Probably some MDF bonded to the roof under the headlining.
Be warned - a screen in this position will block the rear view which can be...
Try several variants of ignition on/off with switch pressing.
iirc last time I used it it was ignition on, ignition off, press button.
It will tell you on the dash display when it fires up.

Cold weather kills batteries. Period.
If it is old then it is probably past its best and the sustained cold weather is doing it no favours.
As mentioned any decent auto factors should be able to...
The S60s and V70s can suffer from brittle plastic on the bulb connectors from the heat.
Min occasionally has a bulb warning on the dash. Turning the lights off and on or thumping the light often...
I think advising to change out everything before diagnosis more than qualifies him as a mechanic.
Tin can.
Cut the ends off.
Liberal dose of gungum or similar exhaust sealant.
Slide it on so half is on each part of broken pipe.
Add jubilee clips.
Dance.
In all fairness Pedro was extremely lucky to get that at that price.
Assuming you are not part of the emergency services; do try not getting caught on the open road with them going as you will have to grab your ankles, assume the position and the car will suddenly...
Do note that if you fit one in the middle you cant see out the rear view when it is down. Gets annoying quickly.
You'll get a message on the dash if you do it right.
