I'll start again. The low pressure switch prevents the compressor from working if the system pressure is too low. So either the switch is faulty or the pressure is too low. To change the switch...

Check the air con low pressure switch at the back of the engine bay, just bridge it out and see what happens. Let us know what happens and I'll take you to the next stage if necessary.

I use Wurth plastic dye and wouldn't use anything else. Pricey but works, 12 to 18 months and then needs refreshing.

It's impossible to repair a porous wheel, but make sure that when you fit a tyre to the rim, that the tyre seat area is throughly cleaned , and use plenty of rim sealant.
