Garret GTX which I am running, unlike my old Mitsubishi TD04 turbo has no recirc. valve. The TIAL QR (the blue shiny thing) is a recirculating dump valve fitted to my custom rip kit. It recircs into...
You can upgrade the square one later....

its worthers for Volvo drivers, not chocolate ..... lol
Took the car to work today and whilst leaving the car park a guy actually stopped his phone conversation to signal to me to wind my window down.....though 'oh no, what's falling off' but he just said...
I had a 469 mile round trip but I did have to detour to the other side of the country lol. That cost me about £100-£110 in fuel, managing around 32mpg (I wasn't hanging about)
Going direct, you'd be...
i think don kalmar union dose maps for under 400 and he loans you the software to upload it
Most standard cats are big and full of coated metal wool. They are made relatively cheaply that way and big because all manufacturers have to meet strict emission standards from a cold start.

A rip kit and a good maf to turbo pipe will aid spoolup a lot (like the DO88 kit on Graham's car which, with the Rica 310, makes it go like a bloody rocket!)
then there's upgrading down pipe and...
best to get the supporting mods done before the remap I think (I've spent nearly 3 years doing just that lol)
I would build my own (and I have :) ) but not everyone can, so it`s up to each person to decide wether to build or buy a RIP kit
id say yes do it if you build your own. if not there better mods thatll give you more bang for your buck. 3" down pipe, cant back exhaust or a remap will all give you more than rip kit but not much...
Lol, should be an easy one for the softies meet mate ;)
If you're going for the Kit Graham has, PFV sell them. not cheap tho.
The cruise control fault will be very intermittent, it'll just stop working and not start till you restart the car. It's caused by fluid weeping from the clutch master (nothing to worry about) and...
you are doind the correct thing - you need to lock it to start a new cycle, taking the key out and trying again immediately often does not work.
it could suddenly fail on you altogether at worse. ...
I wouldn't worry too much from having codes read unless you have a MIL on. I scan probably a dozen cars or so a week and you get lists of codes from them, usually not related to the fault the car is...
changing the antenna is pretty easy mate and afaik, cheap too.
the clutch position sensor is also a cheap and easy fix too.
I'd be happy to lend a hand should you need it :)
Congrats. It's a nice tidy car so I was confident it'll go through.
Jamie - it's a ME7 C70 T5. It'll be an easy fix if it is the ring.
Clutch pedal issue is the switch for the cruise control.
Immobiliser and ECU don't always seem to talk to each other,, either a dodgy wire, or corroded connection. Well done on the pass BTW.
what model is it?
could be immobiliser ring problem is it is a s70/v70 or c70 causing the fault. common, and cheap for a new one.
re clutch pedal fault that is logged , do you have cruise? -...
