Dump valve won't work because a diesel doesn't have a throttle butterfly. it has nothing to do with the ecu (although I'm sure if you did try and fit one the ecu would spit it's dummy out.

you've done about all that is doable to the D5, unless you want to go down the bigger intercooler, hi flow air filter , custom maps and down pipe route. But you are looking at monster money. the D5...
no dump valve mate, if you wanted a performance car, although nice as it is, maybe something different would have been better? you have already mapped it so probably sort the handling and the brakes...
