use an oil pressure gauge & connect it to your engine,via oil pressure switch.that will giv u a reading,i dont think it will work using the wire from the switch as its just a signal,not an actual...

At the back edge of the door on the inside edge there is a screw, remove the screw and the trims slide fowards(I think) and come off. They are clipped on so it's not something you can remove for good...
The strips slide to the side slightly then pull towards yourself, its been a couple of years since i done it.
yes, thats the track rod end. used to adjust the wheel alignment.
If they are £125 second hand your better off getting brand new ones imho
