Dont know if its any help but when the rack went on my 850R i just fitted a rack off a 2.5na and its been fine ever since couldn't tell you if its a smi or trw rack but it fitted with no issues
I know of a t5r auto saloon with a few mods done 180k loads of history thats up for 1750 ish if thats any good as a guide price

Mine dosent spike but the revs hang between shifts and mines a mte map unplug the abs and alls fine lol
I used all the cams and lifters out the old head and put them into the new refubed head and have had no issues since
i know it is mate the cars parked at my work place and im not at work lol
