Check there is fuel getting to/through the injectors.
You really need a code reader. By swapping plugs, coils and injectors around you should be able to pinpoint which parts are at fault.
Good luck with it. I took my engine out to replace the clutch as it was easier to get to the AWD parts with it out. Currently it's out for a new engine, all work being done on my parents driveway...
Yes they're the same, the ones I bought have been fitted and had no problems with them. I did compare them to the ones that came out and also to an old set from my dad's 850 and they were the same.

Take the thermostat out and see if it still overheats, if so, take it for a sniff test.
Sure way to test it is to check the coolant for bubbles or combustion gases, it sounds like classic HG failure , probably brought on by the radiator problem and overheat.

Assuming you mean the plate which sits under the top nut yeah mine had done the same thing and I've read of others that have done also.
