The mayle pistons runs about 100 each with pins and rings
I was going to say, I thought the stock stuff is more than capable at that power, it's the rods that struggle.
They will be good for 400 I'm currently running some where between 300 and 350.
Other options is wiseco forged pistons but the general rule of thumb is the standard pistons are pretty good
I believe volvo still sell them but when I did mine the machine shop got them and they were better priced than volvo aswell
No, absolutely not. John is/was very aware.
££££ing sickens me.
Nice little project, bet your really pleased.
I know the Volvo RTi is really not worth it but I love the gimmick of the nav rising out of the dash. :)
Looks like a fun project!
I'm going to bed dreaming of that tonight.
Haha! Fancy that. Looks a nice car mate. Love the colour, not common at all.

Obviously you want the same sort of figure across all the cylinders, from what I've read your looking for 150+, but not sure if that's on a cold engine, and whether or not you should do that dry, or...
Mine have always been 160-175, obviously all plugs out and full throttle when cranking on a good battery
That's some good man maths as I'm sure it will get it's 'legs stretched' more frequently due to the higher fun factor! :)
Mike - Did you change to white injectors, is your ECU mapped?
Yes that will be the reason for the power being slightly low compared to the torque. Still makes for a very quick car though! GT30? Do you have a project thread?
Good result Mike. What are your mods?
Iirc pin b 36 on ecu then need a live and a earth I'm out at min so will post with pics when I get back in
I'll get a quote for you when you're ready bud, sadly it's not cheap due to their size
First ones in the mold drying as we speak, anyone want it? I will take it out trim it and check the fit before it gets sent though, as it's the first one I want to be sure there'll be no problems...
New mould is nearly finished, should be ready tomorrow to start production.
Currently have pictures but as photobucket is currently awol I'll post them tomorrow, suffice to say it now fits rather...
