Having "waxe'd my rims" in the past with Chemical guy's wheel guard.
It is Ok , and does prevent stick on build up of brake dust.
As with any alloys its important to not allow the nasty stuff...

I found getting one made would be cheapest , £180 for S/S Back box - £350 for...

Had the same on my S60, result both rear capilers have been replaced through time.
Normally the cause of a toasty rear wheel. Only sticks when car running, and after a few hauls down from speed....

get Bonny mapped, it transforms it, if your worried get the standard map.
Though I have ran sports map for 50K now.
Mapped D5's can show that trait, when really pushing it
Rica Sports map, has do be treated with respect, to your clutch, if you do its fine

I'd recommend the USA-SPEC, once you figure out how to remove the HU stereo, "its simples". the ECC panel is a bugger to get out, until you get the knack of it.

I find reverse difficult sticky to engage, but go for 4th first them reverse off the drive and its fine,
the box is a bit gluey to start till it warms up a bit
