If you buy a V8, make sure it's had a new alternator recently, ffs!

Make sure the 4WD works, and check all the electrics. As Ade said, the most rearward seats just fold out of the way, once down, you wouldn't know they're there.

the rears fold into the floor very neatly, got to watch for a hike in tax on 2006 models and onwards, there's plenty out there but fewer with dark interiors

If I remember it's 10 mins work ,when you do you will see the gaps for the sensors.

Not done a p2, but the p1 was 2 long bolts from underneath the car. One above the exhaust and one to the other side of the car. After they were removed, I think it was just the locators at the sides...

I've found my S60 D5 to be very economical, half the fuel costs of the T5. I think you'll find the V70 D5 to be much better on fuel compared to the D5 although I imagine the Auto would be less...

Is fuse no 16 ok in the central electronic module as that's does the Bi-Xenon on both sides..

Has the shunt resistor overheated?

Not sure if the 2005 is the same as the 2001 but the relay and the often-problematic resistor are under a panel beneath the steering wheel, next to the OBD2...

You'll probably find the wiring is all there, It's cheaper to manufacture, having one set of wiring looms, rather than having various sets for different models.

It's stamped on the back of the block under the exhaust. You will need a mirror and light.

Aah.. on tba side timing belt cover or stamped on the back of the block. Near the cam cover.

If my memory serves me right they are 12v 10W wedge bulbs.

I can echo Martin, deffo worth doing, tbh I didn't notice a drastic increase in road noise or vibration (and I'm a sad git for noises lol ;))
