Well picked her up this morning, filthy dirty but MOT'd and taxed. Passed with no advisories. Turns out the car has only done 3.5k miles in the last year, but has 3 dealer stamps per 16k miles...
I think we should all agree then that buying Turk's GT is no bad idea.
Have you modified the suspension? In terms of driving enjoyment ride and handling are important too - Strut Brace and Rear Roll Bar will make you faster as you'll exit all the corners 5mph quicker :)
I've been been watching this whole thread from the sidelines and it has amused me no end :wave23d:
Agreed, when I decided to remap my D5 I took my time to read as much as possible on people's...
I agree with the Turk. That 2.4 litre block from the MY2005 T5 is probably the best of both worlds. Wegal certainly showed its strength at the rolling road day - with over 300 at the wheels.
This is the reason I'll be going to Fasttech in Holland for my next custom map.
Not heard any tales of woe about them at all.
*re-opens can of worms*
:D
Sorry mate but I think I speak for everyone bar a select few when I say "Shut up!". Its a sensitive topic that has been brought up time and time again and does not need to be repeated.
No offence...

Yep, it's almost "the thread to end all threads"...
Best bet is a rolling start up to as higher speed as you can.
If yours is chipped and in good condition, you should have the edge once rolling - especially at higher speeds as yours is the...
Depends on the drivers.

And am I one of the few who don't think it a good idea to post up how they did over twice the legal limit on the motorway.....?
And if you do get caught either on camera or by a patrol, you can...

If your going to put the CO2 systems on then I would change the CO2 for nitrogen, its a LOT colder, so you can use less, which means its cheaper to run. If you use it to cool the fuel rail then you...
Hi...
Looks like a lovely car you have there. Hope you enjoy it.
Can I recommend that as it's still such low mileage, you will be able to buy a warranty for it. Get the biggest and best one you...
Had some trouble with the bell housing :( Went to fit it to the engine and found it didn't fit :( Then looking around spotted in small writing "300TDI" so it's from the diesel Landie, not the V8 like...
I run a Devils own kit and use a 0.5 jet. I run a 50/50 water/methanol mix. I have the entire kit in the boot including the pump. You will need to use some sort of non return valve in the system...
Evening all,
haven't posted anything for a while and I often see members discussing which turbo, map etc so here are some on-road results for you. Never had it dyno'd but it boosts to 22psi and...

I'd like to shake you by the hand Justin - and if you were the mod who banned strbyran from here - also buy you a pint :)
Too many times on the other 2 main uk volvo forums a perfectly good thread...
Much appreciated Justin. I cannot get my head around why a certain group of folk on t5d5, feel the need to discuss this, and other volvo forums, and then deliberately start arguments and/or just be...
I don't think Shem's post was very productive... If you find after a remap that the boost under load falls off then climbs slowly again this is normally due to the ECU seeing higher than expected MAF...
Hmmm...it's easy to be insulting to people when you're hiding behind a computer somewhere isn't it?
