I think it would be perfectly safe to fit the rears first. I can't see it upsetting the braking balance of the car that much tbh.

Noticed you have the grille listed on eBay...looks nice but OE is the way to go. Stunning :B_thumb:

Currently in the process of refurbing a set of XC90 Rear calipers for the S60. A small upgrade from the current solid 288mm discs of the S60 to the vented 308mm discs from the XC90. Probably offer...
I have seen this setup behind a set of 17" Tethys......not sure whether they were using spacers tbh.
Cleaning the MAF with carb cleaner probably isn't the best idea tbh....many have done it for years without issues but you're best using electrical contact cleaner.
Good job on fixing your issue...
Had the privilege attending the VolvoDrive meet in the Netherlands last weekend, a short but amazing trip accompanied by a few good friends from VolvoTuning.
The event is in it's second year and...
Send it to Royals....they'll re-cover it and stitch it custom to your needs. I enquired last year about mine and they quoted approx £30 iirc
Rear calipers from an XC90 will bolt straight onto the rear of the S60/V70 but they are only slightly bigger than the standard ones already fitted, that said...you would then have vented discs rather...

Travelled up to Edinburgh on Sunday and attended a small meet with the lads from Volvo Owners Scotland and VT...had a brilliant day. Here's the Vid and some photos:
...
Does sound like they've supplied 286mm instead of 305mm discs....
Shared on the VT facebook page....hope for a positive outcome mate
Looked average ;)
Don at Kalmar Union sells Eibach springs http://kalmar-union.com/parts/volvo-s60_s80_xc70_v70_-suspension/ worth a call to see if they're for the D5?
Good to hear you've got it all sorted BUT you should be ashamed though taking it in for an MOT with blown bulbs ffs ;) lol
Did you use the recent Wishbone Polybush thread as a guide to replace...
The only other thing to consider would be the tyre size and rubbing issues.....Nebs were supplied with 235/40R18s which even rubbed on the P2s, I reckon for the S40 you should be looking at 225/45R18s
They'll fit straight on, although you may want to fit spiggot rings to centre them correctly when fitting - Nebs are 65.1mm centre bore as opposed to 63.4mm on the S40.
Offset is 49mm.
A little meet I attended over the weekend with VEC.....this video was taken as we convoyed through the Lakes
