  1. Hello VPC

New to forum so bear with as following questions have probably been addressed many times before. Perhaps someone could steer me to the related threads.

Firstly, ex S60 D5 SE owner and just purchased a broken S60R (engine problem) I'm in Barnstaple, north Devon.

Car is modified to 365hp - MTE stage 2, larger pipes, FMIC, turbo, Quaife, IPD etc. But cracked cylinder liner after thermosstate issue was ignored.

    Questions
    1) Anybody know if a liner can be replaced successfully and then all liners shimmed on the 2.5 block?
    2) Original owner was advised to go 2.3 block replacement instead of 2.4 and ergo has this fitted, minus head.
Any threads welcome as need direction going forward i.e
    re-line 2.5 block
Sell 2.3 single vvt engine and source 2.4 alternative
Keep 2.3 block, marry 2.5 dual VVT head and re-map. (I believe the ECU map will accommodate a drop in 100cc's but not 200cc's etc.)
