Im thinking about upgrading the CD/Radio in my S70 T5 CD.
Dont know weather to keep the volvo head unit or fit a kenwood or something?
Want to put a 12" sub in the boot but dont know if i should fit one with a built in amp or one with a seperate amp?
Also should i replace the volvo speakers or keep them.
My old B.M.W had 2 amps a 10" sub and a Kenwood head unit that i fitted but im not sure which way to go with the T5?
Any ideas would be great, and pictures would be even better.
Thanks.

Its personal choice on what you do....

A changed ma head unit but kept standard speakers as they sound good enough to me

A did fit a Kenwood 4 channel amp to power ma 12" tube and 15" box

a double din is a nice tidy way to go but your choice is pretty limited. If you're semi serious i would say its worth amping the front soundstage and upgrading the component speakers. a sub is an instant fix for the bass but upgrading the front really does make a world of difference IMO. :)

A single din DVD/CD may not be so on show when parked up, but dont like the idea of it covering up the heater controls.
Double din looks good but may not be in the car for long round my way!
Also if i sell car and remove double din, i may not be able to fit it to next car as most cars are only single.
So................................................ ..... :slap:

If a put the head unit in the bottom slot it doesnt cover the hear controls ;)

But does it then not get in the way of the gear lever?

Fitted a Single Din Kenwood headunit in mine with a built in G - Meter - bit of a gimmick but it is quite good fun to see how many G's you can pull when accelerating and cornering, and it has a little moving graphical display of a car travelling along a road which turns and tilts in relation to your car - kids love it.

So, if i were to leave the volvo radio in the car can i fit a non volvo amp to run a sub?
If so what leads would i need to connect the non volvo amp to the volvo head unit?
