That'd be me then! Was presented with this sight on opening the bonnet this afternoon:

Initial thoughts, after the swear words, were split oil line. But closer inspection suggests an idiot didn't push the dipstick all the way in and the tube was wide open. Didn't actually lose that much oil, but a little goes a long way.

Guess I'll be degreasing the front of the engine bay this weekend :slap: :slap: :slap:

oh dear! messy eh? just had a similar problem (gearbox oil everywhere!) have fun cleaning mate!

It could be worse!
While in a hurry to get to work after checking my oil, drove car for about 2mins to get to work as i was late. Pulled up in the car park and noticed a bad smell of burning oil followed by plumes of smoke coming from underneath the bonnet!!!!! :jaw:
Popped the bonnet open only to realise that i had forgotton to put the oil filler cap back on and the engine bay was covered!!!!
Thats what you get for rushing around, good job i didn't have to drive further to work!

Get some aerisol gunk and a jet wash and you'll be done in a jiffy ! (watch the dizzy though !)
