A remember readin sumit bout the rubber strip at the back of the engine bay being removed on Duanes car, Why was this mate? Was it to let engine heat out? also remember the foam stuff from the underside of the bonnet removed aswell????

A did this yesterday and for the simple fact that ma DV is soooooooooo loud now just wonderin why a did it? Am no complainin, it sounds the ££££££ :nutkick:

Is there any bad points to doin this i.e. washin the car n water gettin into the engine???

have you not noticed it takes longer to warm up from cold now Fraz, so the heat is defo escaping now?

the only downside i have is becuase i have a slight oil leak the fumes come in through the heater (so mine is kept on re-circ 100% of the time now)

Av always had a smell coming through since ma DV was fitted, a think he disturbed sumit but hey ho lol It does take a wee bit longer (mibees a couple of minutes) to warm up, temp guage still sits at the same place tho when warm, left the lip on but seems to be making a slight difference, Only down side is when idling and standing say at drivers door you hear engine noise and av got a wee tappety noise n its soooo annoying :shhh:
