ECU diagnostic unit

Hello,

I have had a look under the bonnet for my ECU diagnosis unit, haynes says it should be front by the washer filler, I have nothing there, I can see where it should be ( mounted on the side of the air con box )

I have also seen a pic of what Im looking for so I haven't missed it under my nose. :)

I have a 1996 T5 Est, would this ECU unit be hidden anywhere else?
The car was first registered in September '96

You haave a later model than the one haynes is referring to (thats for the 94's IIRC) You should have the OBD port in the centre consol.

yep mrs mopp is correct,
it should be on the centre console,
under the coin holder below the ashtray
& in front of the gear stick,
