A good starting point would be 36psi all round, drive it round ,try it out, see how it feels, in wet & dry conditions, adjust accordingly to acheive a feel you like and are confident with.

on Pirellis I found either 36 all round or in the summer 36 rear 34 front gave the best.

Bridgestones seems much better all round on 34.

Toyo's better at 36.

P6000 on the front definately seemed the hardest up at 36 and tended to bounce if you accelerated over bumps. Much better traction down at 34.

Also had 2 sets of P6000's on the front one after the other with no other changes to suspension etc and the first one lasted 6k longer. No idea why, after that thouht I'd try something different hence the Toyo's and Bridgestones.

All on 2001 V70 t5.

Hey Pooch (good name by the way).

You are best off just trying a range of pressures and seeing what suits. I have 225/45/17 on my 850 and run the front's at 40 and the rear at 35. Same loading condition as yourself. Just remember not to go above the pressure rating for your tyre (on the side wall somewhere) and I wouldn't drop the pressure below 30 PSI as an absloute minimum. The lower the pressur ethe worse for fule consumption and tyre life.

Also if you don't carry much load in the rear (Passengers or luggage) then the fronts should always be higher pressure because of the weight of the engine.
