How many of you on here have replaced your standard front grill with an all black mesh item?

I really like the hardcore look of this and think on a black car its gonna look awesome.

Discuss!

I had an all black mesh grill in my dark blue v70 and now the original is back in.Its personal choice but quite a few people end up going back to the standard grill in the end so dont be too hasty selling off the standard grill you take off.

I think it looks excellent, as long as you move those horns, and fit a slash and blue Volvo badge,

just my take on it, Gary.

Agreed keep the existing one so you can change back. Personally I think the mesh makes the snout look a bit vacant, particularly if the mesh is recessed.

Consider also the 2002 grill (sometimes referred to as the egg crate grill)

Heico do a nice mesh grill - http://www.heicosportiv.de/mainframe.asp?lang=en&e1=134
Just go to products >> C70 >> exterior

- at least it has something to break up the line.

Sorry I have to say I am not a fan :B_blite: It removes the aggressive look of the front and and makes everything look little and twee IMO. Sorry!

I was thinking of putting and all black one on my Garnet / Coral Red Coup, as there's no other Chrome on the car! And I think it's look nicer! Hmmmmmm.
Might have to add a dark set of Comets then! :slap:

Ditto, don't leave the mesh as it is, put a newer volvo sash in there. Otherwise it just looks (in my eyes) as if the owner is just throwing cheap bolt on mods and halfords crap to what should be a classy car.
