Almost there with preparing my v70 t5 for a vt experience. Is the main difference between them, a bigger turbo or are there some other bits and pieces. Is the exhaust different.

to get the real benefit from the 19T (which on it's own is not all that) you need the correct map and a ferrita downpipe. Depends on your budget but I believe VT do a standard and a custom map for the bigger turbo.

The flow rates/characteristics on the 19T are a lot different to the 16T. 16T has an plain oil bearing - where as the 19T has a ball bearing bearing. The 19T can sustain a higher flow rate.

Having a cat back can also assist when the flow rate increases. Avoid cone filters unless properly ducted/shielded

You would need to seek their advice as to what is the best route to achieve good power.

the difference is like night and day... so is the cost!
