Hi Guys and gals, Just thought i would show you what i have bought, had a long 2 weeks looking at cars, couple of R's came into it as well as the VR4's, but i decided to put my family first and go for a 7 seater, plus i know the 70 series quite well, and i have a donor car out front too, so that kind of swayed it for me,
The car is a 1999 T plate V70R in Cassis, aparently it is quite a rare colour, only 2 owners from new the first being the Managing DIrector of Wyeths in Swindon, Hence the spec of the car and a cost of £39k, absolutely fully loaded, inc the 7 seats and Dolby Pro logic sound system,
Service history is full Volvo to date, and has currently covered 89,000 miles,
Interior is Alcantara Beige leather, and hardly a mark on it,
I am going to not play around with this one, only things it will have on her are my 18" Tritons and the crystal lights with HID,
A few more pics,

Gary.

No it wern't Guy he went and looked at one had to lock im up for a day and a night till he came to his sences lol. For anyone interested spec as follows:

Phase 2 :- were produced in 1999 (S - T reg) and were only available with the B5234T-8 engine (18T turbo 250bhp/310nm) and 4-speed adaptive automatic gearbox. These cars use the ME7 engine management system with fly by wire throttle and variable exhaust camshaft.
I've nicknamed it the "Pimp Mobile" :hidesbehi

Many thanks for your replies guys, I know i have taken a few steps back with myself buying this car, I nearly walked away, because of the engine and transmisson, and drive, but that was myself being selfish, I seriously wanted a R manual 4.4 motronic, but i could've had a high mileage one for around £4500, saw 2 with galatic miles on,
But and a big but, this was about my family, as i have spent far too much time in the past and money come to that on the white S70, where it was starting to cause friction because myself and my partner, ok so it was nice looking but it was impractical for my needs,
This new car is 2 previous owner AWD 1999 phase 2 auto with 89K fvsh, and the wheels will be rotated, and will have the same amount of tread on them, I have been reading up on the auto's and AWD and the only problems came with people abusing them or going big power on older cars, Volvo made 3 versions of the auto on the AWD, in 3 years ph1 16t ph2 18t & ph3 19t,
the auto box i will have to live with :haha: but i have been in some seriously quick auto Volvo's and a plus i live in London, so the auto box will come in very handy,
Me7 will stop me playing around with things, and yes i do have a 19T up for sale i think lol, but the auto R's come with a 16T/18t/19t depending on ph 1/2/3,
last but not least and this was the other reason i bought this car,
It is a hell of a lot of car for 5k the 7 seats i would have had to pay another £300 at least for, the Pro logic system is a bonus as well,

think i have said it all, anyway if you don't like it, you can buy me some slippers and a pipe for me 40th in June :troutslap ,

any other questions fire away, and i am still in the Ovlov.

Gary,

PS Dave a transfer box would've come in very hand for you in the past ;)
