T5 Q for noobie

Hi guys,
I am looking for a T5 estate. I live in Leeds and my folks live in Berkshire so I need something nice for the motorway. My little 1.3 Golf isnt man enough for the job and I am not man enough to do it in my Ex Mil diesel Lightweight Landrover (well I am but I would be deaf and lose all sensation in my buttocks).

So, anyone got a guide on running costs, service costs etc?

Anything specific to look for when viewing (other than checking the turbo and clutch
Scrap that bit, I just found the excellent posts buried deep in the Wanted area

Oh and anyone oop north planning on selling theirs in the sub-£2500 range in the near future?

For that money should defo be able to find a nice 850 T5 - personal tip is to look for CD or GLT spec.

Mine will be up for sale at the end of the month(all being well), although its ex plolice, it has been very well looked after since I got hold of it and I've removed or replaced anything that the cops abused. I'll be looking for £1800, if your interested pm me.
