I dunno what sort of discount they will offer us, but it may be worth it!

Don't come anywhere near Johnsons Tyres or Pneus Online in prices.
Would be interested if they give a discount, though!
If anyone can beat £80.00 per corner for Goodyear Eagle F1's in 225/45/17 I'm interested!

Yeah.. I got my eye on ebay!
However, I wouldn't want to buy used tyres and most of the premium brands have Buy It Now's which are way more than if I just ordered online :)

Damn that BlackCircles place is cheap, i like what they do too, order online and they arrange a booking with a local fitter, who luckily is in the same town as me!
Do people like KwikFit have some sort of price promise ? I need a P6000 as well and they've quoted me £147 fitted!! That's a whopping £45ish more than these guys for 225/45/17

Azza,
Any reason why you want to stick with P6000?

Not really, apart from cost purposes.. I know my front-left tyre needs replacing, but my other front is fairly new.
I think i could replace both fronts or both rears with a different brand, or maybe even all of them, but that's forking out about £400 in one go.
I don't actually do a great deal of driving, and the driving i do is over the longer distance rather than around town etc... Have you any suggestions ?

Ordered 2 x Hankook Ventus Sport @ £70 each from mytyres.co.uk (www.mytyres.co.uk)
Arrived and fitted yesterday (£10 each to fit and balance).
Early days yet, but pertformed well in the wet yesterday. Much quieter than the Michelins that are now on the rear. Very little (if any) sidewall roll. Look good and have rim protection too. However, I've yet to really test them!! :sinner:
Verdict so far - very good.

I have been through a few but now buy Bridgestone Potenza SO2s (SO3 is repacement). Find them great all round tyre. Note, I use these on the front and Michellin on the rear.
Found Pirelli P6000 too quick on wear rate and easy to spin wheels. Would not buy them again.
Michelin Sport, great tyre, good grip in dry, need to careful when wet, a little expensive for my tastes.
Michelin Primacy, not as good as Sport for "sporty" driving, but a reasonable tyre on the rear.
PS I used to work for Michelin, so may be a little biased. :B_steerin

FYI.
I have been using Camskill.co.uk, for several years.
They are specialist Jap performance part dealer, but do online tyres too.
Their prices seem keen and include Vat delivery if 2 or more purchased
ask for Brian if calling
