I'd be very keen to know how much... I doubt it would be that much - porsche jobbies can be had for this sort of money.

£1240.00 from Kalmar. Same piccie. I think the post is suggesting they look nice rather than have been fitted.

Or spend half that on Porsche BBK's.

yep. Just training peoples thoughts. Will post mine when there done.

..im looking at options. But, i might be able to get 355mm, by hi-spec for the same price. Theres the choice of 3 colours for the bells and calipers. Black, silver and Gold. (... frankinsence and murr. Nope thats the three kings :haha: )

I don't know if this is correct or not, but there is a huge amount of experience on here. Consider the options first.

It is indeed, ive already got some 2nd hand calipers and the brackets. Discs, pads and braided lines (not really necessary but might as well) to go.

There's the initial outlay and then the running costs...

The 'cheaper' grooved AP discs are £190+VAT, EACH. Mine have lasted 35k running Ferrodo DS2500.

The pads last about 25k miles and are about £95 a set.

Are they worth £1500?

Probably not to be honest, but I only paid £360 for my second hand set so they were worth that to me! lol

I've heard you need spacers to run the Porsche set up, is that true?

Hey Andy, car looked awesome at the Glos meet by the way!

With the porsche set up it all depends which alloys you have, if you have 17" or 18" Pegs then no need for spacers, hence why i have Pegs :D All other 17" you will need spacers.

Pads wise, there are a load of alternatives, ranging from standard textar pads at £30 a set to Ferodo or Pagid at £100+.

£190 is a rediculous amount for 1 disc. Luckily with the porsche set up (and im going to give a little secret away here lol) we can use the S60R front discs which means no messing around, they bolt up with no problems :). Cheapest ive found is £170 for a pair but ive always got my eye out for a cheaper source.

Thanks- took three hours to scrub the crap off it to get it to look like that. Our secret ;)

Ahaaa that will explain that then! When I was reading about Porsche conversions on Volvospeed Pegasus alloys hadn't been invented.
