Wondering if anyone can shed some light and rest my mind on a very minor yet quite important matter.

Rochford Tyres sent out the wrong wheel bolts with my wheel package but fair play to them they have sent out another set a day later.

I took one of the existing OE Volvo bolts off the car and the new ones they sent are slightly shorter.

The seating is exactly the same and the head is 19mm.

The new bolts go into the hubs with no problems at all but what i'm thinking is will they be long enough?

There approx 5mm in length shorter (that is of thread).

Help appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

p.s. I worry about the slightest thing lol

I take it the depth of the part of the rim that they pass through is the same on both rims? when you put the bolt through the new rim how much protrudes? Ie how much will be screwed into the hub?

to be safe could you use your old bolts?

well arbee I checked the new bolts in the old and new rim with an old bolt in both rims and the old bolts only have maybe 1 more thread or 1mm.

Should be safe with the new ones shouldn't i?

Yup - should be fine - just get yourself a torque wrench and do them up properly.
