Coming back from my girlfriends last night at 3.30am I had the clear roads and warm engine I needed to do some subjective tests now on the Powerklick module I installed last week.

I lined myself up with a van in the inside lane both of us travelling at 70mph on the dot and absolutely floored it in 5th and after a 0.5 second lag (I assume electronic throttle / turbo lag) the rate that the D5 took off was very impressive. I tried the same test again a little later (with a different van!) but in 4th and it took off like a scolded ££££. Wow.

Did a few more 70 > 130ish acceleration tests and in all honesty it certainly feels faster than my previous 850 T5 Auto and not far off my parents 850 T5 manuals.

When I get a chance I'll pitch the D5 head-to-head on an empty DC at 2am with one of our T5s with onboard video in both cars....

yeah - diesel power :). Be kind to your clutch, bottom end torque plays havoc on it.
