My car is off the road again for 2 days, the turbo control valve has being playing silly beggers, new one needed
so garage have given a 54 plate s60 d5(163) to run about in
so far, sounds abit tractor like afraid, not as nice as a petrol 5 pot roar, the same old fwd traction problems, hard to get power down in first 2 gears
in gear it does shift, very impressive, 30-50 60-80 etc, hugh amount of shove form 2000rpm-3000rpm, but either side of that nothing much afraid, and soon as u get into a 0 - 70+/20-70+ stuff, u are natural in the higher rev band, it is poor compared to the petrol side of life, i know i could change gear, but u would be in top gear time u get to 70 ish, to get best rev range area, which is 2-3000rpm
so far i have aveaged 34mpg, not bad, but not the dizzy heights of 50mpg, etc
handling seems ok, abit roller in the corners, but it hasnt been setup as a corner killer.
would be good to drive a chipped 185bhp s60 version, to compare
All in my opinion tho, dont what to offend anyone
Cheers
