I've got a 97 t5 estate and have had problems with the abs since i bought it. The main one being the abs light staying on which i've now cured with a refurb control unit. The final problem i've got is that sometimes when you turn the steering on full lock left or right (but mostly right) at slow speed when braking is that the abs activates and you feel the pedal vibrates. The sensors are ok and i've replaced one of the pick up rings on the driveshafts which was badly corroded. I've heard that this problem can be caused by bad connections on the abs wires under the fuse box which i have checked and re-soldered to no avail. The only other thing i can think of is that there is a internal break in one of the wires that go to the wheel sensors at the front of the car, having cheked with volvo the price of these wires i thought £47 plus the vat per side was a bit much, for that price i'll put up with it unless anyone has any other ideas i could try ?
