Has anyone had to do this, and how easy is it to do????
Cant find anything in the Paynes manual as a guide :slap:
Is there a guide anywhere???
Thought my C70 was ok after an alignment and top up of fluid, but Im
still not happy with the feel of the steering. A bit stiff when cold, and a bit "wandery" and a still slightly hesitant PAS feeling.
I've bought a rack off Ebay from a guy who was breaking his 99 V70, so I just need a little guidance on how to do it.
Cheers

Guess you didnt want mine then? (Talk to the Hand!!) LOL
Not a job for the faint hearted. I know that little Bear (at VT) got to take a power steering fluid shower on more than one occasion when they changed mine out.

Big job you have to drop subframes.
Did you get them to check the uj angles like it suggested. Any joy with that?

You dont need to remove the frame just drop it down at the rear edge. You will need to support the engine though. Really is best done on a ramp.
