Only just noticed that the front drivers side lamps don't illuminate when opening the door, have replaced bulbs but still nothing!
If you unlock the vehicle the interior lamps comes on for a few seconds then goes out (as they should) but if you open the drivers door the interior lamp, marker lamp on door and courtesy lamp under dash don't come on.
I suspect it has something to do with the door lock as i'm sure the courtesy lamp switch is part of the door lock.
Anyone had a similar problem??

Hi Waxworks,

Yes, these cars don't have a door plunger to sense when it's open or closed. Instead they have a microswitch within the lock mechanism.

I believe the only cure is replacing the lock unfortunately. IF the lights mean that much to you that is.

Regards

Thanks Andy,
unfortunatley I'm one of those people who if something doesn't work properly then it drives me mad!
I think that i will have to grin and bear it for the time being, do you happen to know if the 850 locks are the same as the V70 as I could swop one over from our 'project T5'?
