Sorry but I wouldn't touch "Performance Direct" with a barge pole after they tried to take me to court after I changed my car and cancelled my policy, and they wanted me to pay the remainder on the policy cos they reckoned I had a prang. Fact of the matter my car had been hit by some doser in a car park the her insurance namely "Direct Line" payed out for without question.

I'm not trying to scare munger here, just letting you know how I found them.

O and they did the same to my mate that had a R5 Turbo with them, sold it after 5 months and took him to court for the full sum.

Just watch your self, that’s all.

£388 fully comp with Peter Best. That's with 280BHP Rica. Not garaged, 5+years NCD, £200 excess, protected NCD, unlimited mileage, legal aid, continental use, AND agreed value (£4500). Could have got it for £311 with Churchill,(£600 excess & 10,000 miles p.a.) but Peter Best offered so much more.
Cheers, Chris.

Insured mine today.

5 years NCB, Protect NCB, Legal & personal injury and hire car. Direct Line - my current insurer wanted £630 on the 855 T-5R.

Shopped around got the same deal with only £100 voluntary excess and £250 mandatory excess for £303 over 50% cheaper. It pays to shop around!

Man thats expensive :shockedbi :icon_soap
But hey if your only 22 with 10 points already maybe you should have bought a standard car instead of the T5 and perhaps you just might want to slow down abit(T5 with 10 points not gonna last long)

I thought sp30`s were only 3 pointers as its a fixed penalty or were you doing other things at the same time

My insurance is only £198.00 fully comp with only £50 excess on windscreen
Protected no claims and all the other stuff you would expect
Churchill with the dog do it for me
Car is an unmodded S70 T5 1997 "P" plate
But then i am 37 with sooooomany years no claims i`ve lost count

Well enjoy the drive while youv`e still got your licence

Cheers

Having just paid 750 on the C70 T5, some of these quotes aren't looking bad. Went with Halifax in the end... if you don't like speaking to India, call during the week :argue:

Directline quoted 1300, with others around 1000.

Clean license, 5 years NCB.

Quote from Liverpool Victoria arrived in the post today......

£600
Aged 30 with 5 years no claims
3 points back in 2003
C70 T5 GT manual

First quote like, so I'll be ringing a few more before I accept.
Either that or I may be able to flog the motor before renewal time :slap:

Through a broker, pay £450 with a £500 excess for a 2001 V70N T5, BSR conversion. Aged 31 with no bumps to date and a snowy clean licence. Protected NCB etc...

Happy with that... Once paid £1800 to insure a heavily modded Sapphire Cosworth, and similar for an Escort and an import Subaru...

I've just been sorting out insurance quotes for a 2001 S60 T5 and the best I got for two of us aged 28(my girlfriend) and 25(me, so a boy with love of fast cars), 5yrs NCB was £406 from Directline.com. Granted that was with a big voluntary excess, but possibly worth a look. :B_steerin

Thats not too bad considering your ages the T5`s are up in groups 16 and 17 for insurance
Still shop around abit but i think you may be hard pressed to beat that already on the table

I have found that putting 'er indoors on my insurance brought the prem's down quite a bit. Maybe they think us married types are more sensible - like yeah!
Also found that internet quotes were considerably more competitive that the warm body ones, mind you when the electronic ether had a wobbly and told me to phone "To complete my quote", the chappy at the other end asked a whole load more questions and lo and behold quote doubled, got it down almost to the original but not without a lot of arguing and agreeing to excesses etc.
Norwich Union Direct about £550 f/c with ONLY 2yrs NCD (damn company cars) 2xSP30's, 40 yrs, wifey 32, 6yrs NCD and own mini cooper s.
