ok new turbo is on ...took it for a spin ...no sign of blue smoke left her ticking over gave her a bit of well all clear wohoo

however ...... this morning pulled off the drive with the engine cold ...part throttle not wot ... puffs of blue smoke at gear change
have just been for a 125 mile run up the motorway ....no real signs of blue smoke again .......have to see what happens when its all cooled down again ??

could this be residule oil in the intercooler system ??

garage have put mobil 1 0-30 fully synthetic in......is this too thin ??

or am i being an old woman again ...

oh ahve also noticed smoke from the dipstick again !!!! think one of the internal pipes may well be blocked....anyone know anything to shift the crud out of the internal drain without stripping it all out ???

apart from that she is flying :)

Probably too thin even for a new engine here. Got visions of it bleeding oil from every orifice.

lol tarty....
i have to say tho i agree with the others that it is too thin for a car with your miles as the gaskets may be dry and unable to withstand the lack of viscosity...i am current using halfrauds semi 10/40 with 5000 mile filter and oil changes
the oil debate will no doubt rumble on....... :talktohan
