to fit or to take to an independant ????

new heart for the beast .... has arrived

now how hard are they to fit...... looks like alot of scraped knuckles
I have dont one engine out of the car but never with an engine in place

whose done it
any tips and tricks??

or is it better just to pay the £200 and have no hassle

I would always pay to get things fitted, but i am useless at DIY of any description !

i think you would be ok darren. what turbo is it? ie a replacement or upgrade?
i did mine.

I fitted mine on axle stands and I'm a computer techie not a mechanic. It's not difficult just fiddly.

brand new 15g........... hehe i dont want the turbo lag of a bigger turbo and tbh its quick enuff for me ........

although was pissed when got blown away but a rover on the m1 the other night but im shure he had nos.... he was struggeling then just shot past ...... might talk with you about that one seeing as you have done it .....

just ordered all the gaskets etc for it to be fitten
make sure the chap gets em all new studs etc just in case

got a saab mechanic who says hell do it for £100 so might get him to do it...... less stress

You can do this yourself. Thing is, the easy solution involves a four post ramp and getting the whole car up in the air. If you are prepared to go down the axle stand / rolling about on the floor route, then go for it. The actual fitting isn't a problem, just the access.

Ask yourself if it's worth £100 not to have to roll about on the floor for a couple of hours!!!
