Hi all.
I'm looking to buy a new set of alloys for my S70 (not lowered).
What do you think 17's or 18's?
I dont want anything thats going to rub.
What would you do?
Thanks.

All depends what you want at the end of the day, if its looks, go for the 18s, 17s wont fill the gap up quite as well but im sure would handle slightly better. Only reason i can think of if you have rubbing issues with 18s is if you choose the wrong size tyre.

depends if you want to spend 80 quid a tyre for 17's or 150 quid a tyre for 18's?

I personally prefer 17's, but each to their own...........

If you are not going to lower it then 18 will fit with no rub if you use the correct tyre profile and width, 215's on a 18" 7.5 or 8j rim IMHO look absolute cack, 225 is the way to go,
17s will give you a better feel, but you should think of a 215 on a 17 rim, some peeps use a 40 or 45 tyre,

Gary.

You can buy well known brands of tyre for just under £100 for 18s!

Tyre prices are not realy a problem, as i know someone who gets them cheap.
Just dont want any rubbing like some people have had.
Dont realy want to lower the car so may look better with 18's
What size tyre would you go for on 18's?
