Well just give my new baby a clean. My S70 has just been sold to JOSEPH on here, so now I can take my NEW baby for a spin. One thing I did notice, is wind noise from the pillarless windows :( Not BAD, but a bit of a pain. The previous owner has spent THOUSANDS on her, so she's in tip top condition.............well, so far :D

Gorgeous looking car - you deserve it after the conrod fiasco/heartbreak.

You must be thrilled (I would be)!

I hope she goes as well as she looks.

sadly bev and kev - sold their silver one and bought a bright red convertible?

Step backwards if you ask me.

One of these days we'll need to restage the original advert (with the 340) with a bit of added T5 spice?

LOL! Bloody Hell, dont you lot know the Simpsons are on :D

Thanks for the reply's guys. Yes, she is VERY clean inside, and now out. The odd lil mark here and there, but for the age, pretty much mint. TOTALLY made up with her!

Wobbly, thanks for the tip, Ive got TONS of cleaning products, so I'll give it a go. And as for driving too fast, THAT'S why we buy T5's isnt it ;)

Ya know what, I dunno whether its worth modding. If I saw a modded Volvo, Scoob, or whatever, I'd stay clear now. I think I like the "standard" unabused type of car. BUT, Im also saying that all the guys n gals on here dont abuse their cars, just cos they mod them. Im just getting a lil bit older, and I dont really feel the need for speed anymore :D :slap: How OLD am i ;)

I think a RICA is due soon ;)

That's really, really sweet. I'd put that colour at the top of my list, over black for a C70. Is that just regular burgandy?

Cheers matey :B_thumb: I know, my one before last S70 was the same colour, and I loved cleaning it :D This ones a bit more special, and I just hope I dont get bored after 6 months like I do with all the other cars I buy. The Coupe's do feel a little more alouf compared to the others, even though its basically the same car underneath.

Its STILL £55 smackers to fill up with Opti though :slap:

Get a second cheaper car and keep the C70 for more occasional use makes you want to keep them longer!

Other option of course is start modifying it to keep things more entertaining.

What mileage has the car got?

Only 106k ;) But it came with an A4 folder full of bills and reciepts!! Thousands and thousands spent on general maintainance.
I've got the girlfriends little MK6 Fiesta to buzz round in, and then the C70 is for Motorway trips and days out :D
I dont think I'll be modifying, well, not yet anyway :D

Cheers pikeajm :B_thumb: I wasnt fussed on the Canistos before, but seeing them on the C70 makes me like em now. Theyre 17" too, so they fill the arches a little better, AND, they're in REALLY good condition :D

I'm in a similar position as you too, i use an old Clio automatic to pootle around in, then bring out the baby at the weekends/days out...

I think a lot of people will be going this way with a second cheap car to use for all those little trips and save the T5s for the fun trips

Azza
Friday 24th February 2006, 10:52
At around £57 a fill-up it's not that economically viable to be used as a run-around, unless you're a lottery winner that is :)

Damn, just thrown a spanner in the works for a next car.

Red suits the C70's quite well, much better than i thought it would. :B_blite:

All T5's are great as run arounds etc etc, as long asyou can afford £55 per 350 miles (average) then why not :D At least you'll be safe, they wont break down, and you can p**s people off ;)

I can get near on 420 taking it very easy, but most of the time it is 250-280 per tankful,
